Volunteer with Friends of the Botanic Park

Friends of the Botanic Park is a group of volunteers who collectively help to maintain world-class display gardens, improve the visitor experience, and raise the funds needed to support the Yampa River Botanic Park through fun and innovative programs and events. Orientation and training are provided for all volunteers. Read below to explore the different roles you may play to help. You can choose more than one!
Tour Guides
Tour guides lead visitors on tours throughout the Park highlighting the Park’s history, individual gardens, plants of interest, wildlife, sculpture, and general information.
Garden Greeters
Greeters welcome visitors at the Park’s main entrance to assist with wayfinding, general information, and dynamic conversation. This is a really great opportunity for a social butterfly!
Gardeners
Gardeners, under the guidance and supervision of the Lead Horticulturist, help with general gardening tasks including planting, pruning, seeding, fertilizing, top dressing, soil conditioning, watering, pest control, and weed control.
Special Event Volunteers
Special Event Volunteers assist with programs and events including the Spring Plant Sale, Passport Through the Botanic Park, and the Annual Fall Bulb Benefit. Volunteers may choose one or more events to help with.
