Emma Friedland, Lead Horticulturist
This is Emma’s third year with the Botanic Park and second as the Lead Horticulturist. Emma works off-season as a landscape consultant and has been consulting in both the southern Rockies as well as the front range for the past seven years. Emma has a degree in Environmental Design and many seasons working as a gardener.
Sandra Molen, Membership and Visitor Services
Sandi is a former newspaper editor and school librarian. She has a BA degree in Communications/Journalism. Sandi moved to Colorado from Eugene, OR where she helped manage the culinary herb garden at a public garden and was a Court Appointed Special Advocate. Sandi is an avid gardener, she is married to Logan and has two daughters, Allie and Hanna.

Susan Globe, Gardener
This is Susan’s 10th year working at the Park. Susan is from West Des Moines, IA, and along with her husband, Alden, sponsors Maddy’s Garden of Light in memory of the couple’s daughter, Madeline. Susan has traveled the world in search of inspirational gardens such – her favorite is Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris, France.
Janelle Lincks, Gardener
Janelle Lincks brings to the Park a vast amount of energy and a wealth of gardening knowledge as well. Janelle has worked for a tree farm, managed a community garden, and was a seasonal gardener for Chautauqua Park in Boulder. Janelle is an elite-classed and sponsored professional mountain runner. She travels to races most weekends where she regularly places 1st.
Mary O'Brien, Gardener
Mary has studied and practiced herbal medicine for 30+ years. A Colorado native, Mary is one of the Park’s original gardeners.. Mary established the Medicinal Garden, one of the Park’s original gardens, which she still sponsors and maintains today. Mary has a degree in Sociology, she is a Naturalist for Yampatika, and she makes herbal products that are sold locally.
