The Yampa River Botanic Park is pleased to partner with Strings Music Festival to offer this free summer series. Every other Friday morning, music lovers of all ages are invited to enjoy these outdoor concerts in one of Steamboat’s most beautiful parks.
Randy and Jon are long-time locals who play a mix of classic rock tunes. The pair met at a jam night in 1994, played together in Greg Scott’s Smokehouse Band in 1998, and then joined the Worried Men in 2001 at Old Town Pub. The Worried Men had a good run of Friday nights at the Mahogany Ridge Brewery & Grill from 2003 until 2009 and then took a break to spend time with families. Jon and Randy realized they had a similar taste for offbeat songs, old swing tunes, and just about anything different from the average fare heard in bars. So the duo started learning songs that interested them. Turns out their audiences get a kick out of them too!
