Garden Demonstration – Year-round Windowsill Splendor

September 9, 2021 @ 10:00 am

Want to know how to bloom spring color inside while it’s snowing outside?  Forcing bulbs is a term used to simulate conditions for plants to bloom outside of their normal seasonal cycle.  There are many hardy and tropical bulbs that you can put in pots or decorative containers and trick them to bloom inside during the winter.  Join Jennifer MacNeil, Executive Director, for this informal demonstration on how to force bulbs.  Bulbs that are easy to force, including paperwhites, amaryllis, and hyacinths, will be available at the Fall Bulb & Peony Benefit September 23 -25Meet at the Trillium House at the Yampa River Botanic Park.
