The Yampa River Botanic Park is coordinating a call for a conceptual design that will lead to the creation of the event marketing artwork used to promote the Passport Through the Botanic Park event in 2027. The artwork will be printed on invitations, posters, and showcased on our website, social media, and other channels.
Passport Through the Botanic Park is the Yampa River Botanic Park’s signature summer gala, where guests explore plant collections native to Colorado and similar environments worldwide while savoring global cuisine, fine wines, and captivating entertainment.
Artists are asked to submit one conceptual design inspired by the Yampa River Botanic Park and the spirit of the event. Submissions will be juried by representatives of Steamboat Creates. The selected artist will be commissioned to produce the final artwork in the same style and medium presented in their concept.
The chosen artist will receive a free lifetime membership to the Yampa River Botanic Park (priceless), a $400 honorarium, and two tickets to the 2027 Passport Through the Botanic Park event.
The featured artist will be acknowledged in all locally publicized promotional materials, and the original artwork will be auctioned off during the event’s Live Auction.
Rights and Reproduction:
By submitting, the selected artist agrees to release all rights to the Yampa River Botanic Park indefinitely, allowing the Park to reproduce, enlarge, digitize, and distribute the artwork without additional compensation.
Timeline:
Entry Deadline: Monday, November 2, 2026
Notification Date: Monday, November 23, 2026
All final deliverables from the chosen artist are due: Friday, January 15, 2027
Artist Payment Schedule:
One-third upon acceptance of the initial design. Remaining two-thirds upon submission of all final deliverables
by the deadline.
